listening to: The Pussycat Dolls - Stick With You

Mr Bear had been having upper abdominal pain for the past wk. he's been to polyclinic once and private clinic twice. the medicines prescribed from the 3 visits are enough to fill up the table-top in his room.

since the medicines seem to only make the pain intermittent instead of curing it directly, i suggested that Mr Bear go to the hospital instead. so there we went. thanks to Mr Bear's jungle friend, JL, for fetching us there.

we registered at the SGH A&E dept @ 930pm, but was only attended to after 1130pm. i think hor, if someone seeked treatment there with a b r o k e n and bleeding finger, by the time he was attended to, his finger would haf dropped off liao, and he can wave gdbye to it.

pissed off mans. the foreign nurses worked sooo slowly, it sometimes confused you that you're at a kopitiam, not the A&E dept, where some patients are supposedly AT THE BRINK OF DEATH.

sighs. i guess there's much more to be done to our healthcare. no wonder there's a kopitiam saying (ironically) that you cannot fall sick in S'pore, you either LIVE or DIE.

anw, the foreign doctor (also working v slowly of cos) diagnosed Mr Bear with gastritis. other than telling us that, he did not say anything else useful liao. THAT'S ALL. no other checks whatsoever. i suggested the hospital trip cos i expected some form of tests or even the biopsy mentioned in the website, which the polyclinic and private clinics didnt provide.

he pressed Mr Bear's fat tummy here and there, told me some crap that i alr knew, and that costed a fucking $90. !#$%^&*!#$%^

and the pharmacy technician's face also looked like i killed her entire family lor. !#$%^&*!#$%^

at least do sth which make me even feel that we're seeking treatment in a govt hospital can?!?

sighs.

actually Mr Bear was recovering in the aftn alr, but he tot he RECOVERED. now, that's a diff thing altogether. and guess what he had for lunch? green apple ice blended & Old Chang Kee gyoza. yayy, that's the best diet ive seen in a gastric patient. cold, sour, and deep-fried foods. i didnt say much, cos i know i dun haf the influence on him to control his actions. i guess only his friends can, but not me.

since he "metal teeth" and drank green apple and ate Old Chang Kee when he's having gastric, i also "metal teeth" with him and bought the fishballs and gyoza, with LOTS of chilli, though i was falling sick.

my mentality then was, "okie lor, see who die 1st."

but when i saw him eating those stuff... i seriously cant even put that feeling into words.

it's like, you're seeing someone so precious to you doing something v bad to his own body, yet you cant stop him. you noe you dun even haf the influence on him. probably im just his gf, not his precious friends who he might have listened to.

it applies to his smoking habit too.

the helplessness i felt when i saw him eating de evil stuff, and when he was in such a bad state when the pain acted up but still had to wait for hrs at the bloody hospital (no pun intended), probably no one else can udstd alr. it just squeezes and clasps onto your heart.

anw, i was trembling from cold & hunger in the torturous 2hrs of waiting. the air-con there like free, and i was so hungry i was gg to faint and register at the A&E as a patient too.

by the time i reached home arnd 1am, i immediately boiled water to cook my life-saving cup noodles.

it's my most contented and satisfying moment in the entire day. my papa gave me the pitying face, probably cos i looked like some refugee la. tsk!
