Friday marked the end of my 1 mth temp placement @ Luxasia HR dept.

spent my entire 1 mth's pay alr, so can only afford small farewell gifts for them.

and these are the farewell gifts from Stef & Debbie. Incanto Shine by Ferragamo, and Celine Fever by Lancaster. the gifts' value is my 1 wk's pay liao, haha! thanks dearies. because of you, i'll always be smelling nice. =)

had farewell lunch @ Soup Restaurant. a pity i was down with fever, so cldnt really enjoy the meal. in fact, i was abit seeing stars while eating alr.

BUT, the best part is, they dragged another dpt's manager along for my farewell lunch, though we've nv spoken more than 2 lines, simply cos he drives my fave sports car - Mazda MX-5! and he was made to be my Driver of the Day, to fulfill my "last wish". so yayy, i got to ride in MX-5! MWAHAHA!!

these are the ppl i've been seeing every day for the past 1 mth:

my fave teh khaki of all time, Stephieee!

read Stef's blog entry on my last day, wahh so touching, can make me burst into tears liao. =(

many thanks to those who had been nice & patient, making sure i learned sth useful during my stint, esp in a field i've nv been in before.

and thanks also, to those who taught me nth other than photocopying & scan e-mailing, as though my name is Mindy "Maria" Yeo. they've taught me things in a way too: that in the corporate world, lower ranked ppl are there to do useless crap for those who have climbed higher.

i truly respect those who are where they are now because of hard work, and not cos of a degree in hand. in fact, the higher qualification one has, the lesser empathy she seems to have for fellow co-workers.

what a weird world we've got here, isnt it?
