ppl all arnd are warning me abt the pdt recalls of a VERYYY long list of dairy products from China, such as M&M's, Oreo, and all sorts of ice-cream brands. that got me a lil surprised, cos if that list is for real, our dear AVA (Agri-Food & Veterinary) can close shop liao.
a quick check on the AVA website shows that it has indeed suspended the import & sale of all milk & milk products from China as of 19 Sept 08. as for product recall, there are actually just 3 of them to date:
1) "Yili Brand" Choice Dairy Fruit Bar Yogurt Flavoured Ice Confection
2) “Dutch Lady” brand of strawberry flavoured milk (manufactured in China)
3) “White Rabbit Creamy Candy” (大白兔奶糖)
i just downed half a pkt of the rabbit candy 1 mth back. =(
BUT... it's from another brand. =D
BUT... think it's from China also. =((((
hahaha. nvm la, eat also eat liao. shit also dunno go where le. so be it.
nevertheless, dont be a kan cheong spider and stop consuming ALL dairy products! just a quick check on the manufacturing country is safe enough.
remember, calcium is good for our bones! =)
