Day Two

hahaha! we woke up damn early on the 2nd day. cos we're gg...... KUALA LUMPUR!!

had a quick breakfast @ Burger King. it's my all-time fave meal to have @ Genting. =D love the Croissan'wich, small round Hash Browns and White Coffee. for a non-coffee lover like me, i find the White Coffee reallyyy superb! very thick and fragrant, goshh. and 1 meal was gg @ RM10 (S$4.20). suuuuper cheap.

okiee enought rants abt the fantastic breakfast. then we went to get a cab to KL. we agreed with the cabbie uncle's quotation of RM85 for the trip, so we got on his cab, and off we went!

and after 50mins, our destination was in sight - KLCC! (Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre)

eventually we paid him RM90 when we got there, cos he was a friendly and safe driver.

then we took pics like crazy in front of the Twin Towers. mwahahah!

then we started shopping! but sadly, the major brands are not any cheaper than in S'pore, cos of controlled pricing. the only items with lowered prices are the branded goods, actually. i was sooo tempted by a Coach wristlet and a Guess stilettos. can you believe it? a pair of Guess stilettos at only RM100, which is S$42!! omgggg how can. but somehow i managed to pull myself away. SIGHS.

then got hungry and tired liao, so we settled for lunch at a vintage place which we can no longer find in S'pore: A&W! haha the younger generation dont even know abt this fantastic place loe. we skipped into the outlet and got ourselves Waffles w/ Vanilla Scoop, Curly Fries, and Root Beer Float. the amt of ice-cream in tt scorching weather is sheer heaven. and all these for RM15! S$3.10, eat until peng san.

after we're done with KLCC, we went in search of Times Square, another shopping centre in KL. had to take LRT & monorail to get there though.

their LRT is just like our North-East Line, but their monorail is super lok kok and has a weird smell. :/

after much challenges, we reached our 2nd destination.

yeah selamat hari raya. den we cont walking and walking and walking..... until Stef was gg to faint frm the lack of tea, so we took a break at Station Kopitiam. i had Mango Fruit Juice @ RM4.90 (S$2) while Stef had her Teh Tarik @ RM0.99. no joke man, tt's S$0.41. but of cos, what you pay is what you get. her teh machiam toilet water. HAHAH.

anw, we decided to get back to Genting cos it was getting late and approaching their off-work peak hrs. we called for a cab, and another cabbie uncle arrived in 15 mins. he quoted us RM80, which we agreed also. amazing, we nv kena tok leh.

then the best thing happened. he started imagining himself as an F1 driver. he was swerving in and out of the heavy traffic, by raising a friendly handsign here and there to the drivers whose lanes he cut into. so many times when i looked out of the window, the car on the next lane is RIGHT BESIDE ME. and, he loves to TAILGATE. Stef and I started turning green liao, but we cont chatting to act calm.

finally we started gg uphills in the mountains. amazingly, we saw in the rearview mirror tt he started DOZING OFF. Zzzzzz.... the evening darkness and fog were setting in, and he was dozing off behind the wheel. wahh holy. if you hadnt been up to Genting, you wldnt noe how steep and dangerous the mountain roads can be. many thoughts went thru my mind then. i was even contemplating whether to sms Mr Bear that i will lurb him many many forever.

anw, Mr F1 Driver-wannabe was more awake half-way up the hills, but cont cutting other cars' lanes WHILE TURNING at corners. damn thrilling. and soon after tt, it started RAINING. we seriously cant get more cursed than that. at 1 of the very sharp turns, i subconsciously shut my eyes damn tight and had an adrenaline rush, which was the SAME as what i experienced when i was on a roller-coaster at Escape Pasir Ris. i wanted to smack the bloody driver's balding head alr, when we realised.... we have reached First World lobby.

hallelujah. we paid him RM80, not a ringgit extra, and stepped onto the solid grounds with j e l l y l e g s. the 1hr 15mins ride was one hell of a thrilling.

so ppl, if you're gonna take cabs from Genting ever, beware of a short and balding F1 Driver. he looks like a bean, with license plate 9105. dont say i nv warn you. if you still insist, remember i love you.

anw, we went back to the hotel to wash up and prepare for dinner. hahaha. food eases ALL anxieties. =D had dinner at Causeway Bay.

Stef had Milk Tea, and Iced Lemon Tea for me.

my main dish: XO Seafood & Tofu Rice.

and her Broccoli & Prawns Rice.

and we shared Sweet & Sour Sliced Fish.

the dinner was great! very very salty, but satisfying. =) all these for RM100, approx S$20/pax.

after dinner, we went casino. my virgin entrance, and i was half-expecting the security to stop me. to my alas, he didnt! i was stopped 2 years ago, and now he didnt even bother to look at me. SO SAD! ive aged so much in 2 years. ='(

played jackpot till 2+am, den fatigue really taking over, so we went back to hotel, bathed and washed up, then KO liao. HAHAH.

that bleeding uncle lar. scared the ass out of us. damnit.
