met up with Stef to celeb her reaaaaally belated bday, and an early christmas too. haha. we dun seem to be able to get our dates right!
the top floor of Vivocity has this really tall & pretty xmas tree which i could see when exiting Sentosa couple of days ago. i love the tree! felt like bringing it home, but it's a few storeys high....
and dinner at Marche @ Vivocity. my virgin trip! the 1st Marche outlet @ Heeren has come and gone, and i hadnt even tried it. luckily they've got a surviving outlet @ Vivocity. and their trademark cow is as ugly as i remembered it to be.
the queue was pretty long for a weekday. we queued for half an hour, and managed to jump queue cos it is easier to accommodate just the 2 of us. finally it's time to dig in!
the much raved upon Smoked Salmon Rosti. shredded potatoes with smoked salmon slices. veryyy nice.
Savoury Crepe, with fresh veggies, ham, and cheese. served with some cheese-like sauce which i didnt quite like. this dish is quite nice, but forget abt it when it turns cold. it basically becomes a chunk of rubber.
Australia Ribeye Steak served with its fantastic sauce. we requested it medium but i tot it was a lil close to well done, so it was kinda rubbery too.
and both Stef and i had Iced Green Apple Tea. it's not the reaaaally healthy and fresh kind, cos they added quite alot of sugar, but i still think it tastes fantastic!
guess how much these 4 items added up to? approx $60. i was pretty shocked by the bill, considering we shared everything except the drinks. but they were enough to fill us to the brim!! we were freaking full, goshh.
then i passed her the entire bag of presents. haha. the presents came in 4 parts: a Lacoste face towel; a trinket box with her initial, S; a pink hp chain; and a pink bear magnet.
the pink one on the hp is hers, and the green one on the digicam is mine. =) sweet hor, like couple item. HAHA.
my presents are actually quite random, but i made sure they are items that she actually gets to use. well, hopefully they are.
and her xmas present for me! a pink mouse by Azzaro, my fave perfume brand. and Golden Gloss by YSL. the entire mouse lights up when it's in use! very stylo leh.
but silly us forgot to take a picture tgt! omygosh. =(
to Stef: hope the presents were of use to you, and fulfil your 4 criteria of cheap & good & nice & useful. =) thanks for the accompaniment too! lurb youuuu.
it's been raining since midnight.
im wishing for a thunderstorm instead.
