listening to: 曹格 - Superman

oops, sorry for the hiatus. was super busy and tired from sch. anw im back to blog abt my transition from 2008 to 2009. =) no partying of any sorts, after all it has nv been my type of celebration. my countdown instead consisted of simple moments with Mr Bear.

rushed to Harbourfront amidst the heavy traffic, and managed to reach at 12:01am, just 1 min after the fireworks began. it was pretty, and actually the 1st time both of us watched fireworks tgt, so it meant alot to me. but thanks to my not-too-fantastic digicam, i didnt manage to capture nice shots tt do the fireworks justice. nevertheless......

den was stuck in the horrible line of cars for quite awhile, just to get out of the area. gee. headed back to Mr Bear's place, and by then i was pretty low-batt alr, cos i had 8am classes tt morning. managed to last till 4am, woke up again at 5am, and headed out to try our luck to catch the 1st sunrise of 2009.

the skies of northern Singapore at 6:45am on New Year's Day. =)

i simply love the half-bright half-not-bright skies. haha pardon the bad English. but im sure you noe what i mean. it has that emo feel, like it's the end of the world. yayy.

and the skies at 7:01am, including one of the few silly crows who kept flying abt. bet they were out partying the whole night.

and Mr Bear walking along the beach like a grizzly bear looking for food!

see the similarity?....

as the skies brighten, den i caught sight of how dirty and polluted the beach was. =( all thanks to the bloody inconsiderate park users.

i had checked the sunrise timing for tt day beforehand: 7:07am. but by 7:14am, we still didnt see any yolks from the sea. simply cos the sun was playing peek-a-boo with us by hiding right behind a big fat cloud! dammit. the most we got was an orangey sky, so it was a FAILED attempt. =(((

nevertheless, we had our fun. watching the vast dark sky slowly turning light blue, and finally brightly lit, felt really great. the experience is breath-taking, and even moving. found the entire transition very amazing, Nature is indeed very wonderful! and of cos, i love my Mr Bear! *growl. =D

hope all of you had a fantastic countdown, just like i did! =D
