BEWARE!! it's gg to be a super long AND outdated entry! haha, sorrie la exams now can. it's gg to be all abt V-day. =)))
first up, Mr Bear came over and surprised me with a rose bouquet the night before V-day. =D love love love it! no small bears accompanying the bouquet for this yr though. but i guess since i got the big bear, i dun need other small bears alr.
btw the water droplets on the roses are REAL, not photoshopped by me okie!
and on V-day itself, we had lunch @ Kim Gary. i took a shot of Mr Bear's lashes, and they are just like fake ones! nicely curled too. grrr.
anw i had my usual Chicken Chop Baked Rice w Cheese set meal and still not sian of it, haha. Mr Bear had Chicken Chop Baked Rice w Twin Sauce. the plate was larger than my face and the serving was huge. i bet he is the only patron in S'pore to be able to finish tt mountain of food. so proud of him.
after lunch, we set off to Mr Bear's hometown, THE S'PORE ZOO!! =)))
i was feeling smug for coming up with the idea of spending V-day @ the Zoo, away frm those gross couples in town or everywhere else. turned out.... the Zoo was also flooded with couples lor, in couple-tees somemore. damn it.
i saw almost 10 pairs of couples in matching tops. the ultimate has got to be the guy wearing a shirt tt says "She Is My Girlfriend" and the girl's shirt saying "He Is My Boyfriend". ah bor rite, else ur mother meh. but i salute the guy for his guts to wear it out of his hse.
anw, we queued for quite awhile and finally got our entrance plus tram ride tickets. an adult ticket is $18, and tram ride is $5 extra.
and when we finally entered, the very 1st thing we saw was....
BIRDS and MORE BIRDS. i kinda dislike birds, so i walked past pretending they were not there. Mr Bear took this shot btw.
then we saw some funny Monkeys sitting on top of the Treetop Trail sign. they are REAL, not figurines wor. and the fur on the black monkey look suuuuper like human wig. maybe he went for a hair extension.
then i happily skipped to my fave, the White Tigers! woo they are so magnificent, shuai!~ and i love their nicely-painted stripes.
followed by some weird creatures in the waters.
and a 山猪 with mid-life balding.
i even took a shot with a kangaroo/wallaby! =)
Mr Bear wanted to take a pic with him too, but the kangaroo/wallaby got a lil frightened when he saw him, and quickly hopped away. HAHAHA. animals are afraid of other animals i guess.
so Mr Bear ended up taking tourist shots with things tt cant move, like wooden blocks. if wood also run i got nth to say.
we also saw 老羊! not me, is the Mother Goat with her 2 sleepy Small Goats.
and Dragonball's Master, the Tortoise! this one is frm Africa.
then Mr Bear happily hops to his fave this time, the Baboons! scratch scratch here, scratch scratch there......
by then we were very worn out by the aftn sun and walking, so we hopped onto the tram. not having to walk makes Mr Bear so happy he did a super rare pose!
then we hopped off the tram and visited Mr Bear's cousin, the Polar Bear. im sure you can tell he was not forced to take this pic!
actually the bears in captivity quite poor thing. 1 polar bear kept walking arnd his home in circles and circles and circles........ he looked sooooooo bored. =(
and yet another super bored relative, the Sun Bear, walking arnd his home in circles and circles and circles. what's wrong with all of them?!
something to rejoice abt though, is tt Mr Bear has completed the Bears of The World family. yayy! =)
and of cos the fugly Komodo Dragon who only gets to eat twice a mth.
then we moved on to another family, Big Cats.
the chio Leopard with his fashionable spots.
and a super slim Mountain Lion.
not forgetting the animal king, the Lion! ironically he looks the most blur compared to the other Big Cats.
another of my fave animals, the Giraffe. they look very fake to me, like sth only existing in Animal Planet.
another fake-looking animal but with fashion sense, the Zebra.
to end our Zoo trip was the lazy-like-anything Rhinos taking their aftn naps.
we treated ourselves to Ben & Jerry's after exiting, to celeb us making it thru the adventure!
den reached Mr Bear's place, bathed, and slept from 9 plus to 1am the next morn. woke up groggily and our bodies were aching like crazy. tt's for not exercising on daily basis huhh!
i enjoyed myself alot, and hope you did too. it was an experience we seldom had. i wan to thank you for the accompaniment!
