celeb Bird's 19th last Monday. goshh, STILL 19. she still has 1 year to the Big Two, while im turning 22! holyyy.
anw, we had Food Preservation test in sch till 12 plus, lunched in sch, den The Bees (minus Big Sis who was down with fever & Beng who had lectures) came over to my place to bai nian and of cos, to gamble!
after playing Blackjack for almost 2 hrs at 20 cents bid, and the occasional 50 cents bid frm Boy, Bird lost 10 cents and i lost 40 cents. so Birdie & Boy obviously won minimally too. might as well dont play, i heard you say? yeah i think so too. haha!
den made our way to Seoul Garden @ Marina Sq for dinner, where Beng joined us there.
it's been at least 3 yrs since ive been to a Seoul Garden outlet, and gosh the food is amazingly still as bad as i remembered. the same old variety of chicken & beef, and pathetic slices of fruits.
the most satisfying part of the dinner has got to be my Cookies & Cream Ice-cream! lurve it to the max. and each table was served a complimentary plate of Muah Chee. wahh tt was superb too. the peanuts on the Muah Chee balls were very fragrant, and when you give the ball a bite, the warm peanut sauce oozes out. other than this and my C&C ice-cream, the rest were crap. =(
den ended up rolling all the way to Esplanade cos we were way too full. chatted all sorts, including Birdie's new man. =P must xingfu wor! HAHAHA.
it's been long since ive been to Esplanade, and i still heart tt place. the best time for chilling over there is the wkdays when there are only few tourists walking abt and snapping pics. and definitely at the night time too, cos it will be alot more cooling than in the daytime with the scorching sun overhead. i enjoy the peace, the gentle wind, the city's pretty skyline, and just sitting there taking a breather.
too bad the other side of the night scene is a little ruined by construction. no idea what it is constructing... the Integrated Resort? haha, maybe someone can enlighten a mountain tortoise like me. =)
though the celeb was not very elaborated, hope you enjoyed yourself Bird! ur present from me is the fried egg i made especially for you at Seoul Garden. HAHAHA. you're the best bird i can ever get! =)))
