we tied the knot 365 days later on 03 Mar 2010. 
the dates were never pre-planned.

and that is what makes it all the more meaningful.

my body aches never really went away since Wed. legs, back, jaws from all the smiling...

i would hereby like to take the chance to convey my heartfelt thanks!

first and foremost, to my 5 enthusiastic Sisters for all the help, concern and best wishes! the day would never be complete without you guys!

and the complete hive of Bees for making the trip to my place all the way from Boon Lay/Chinese Garden/Yew Tee/Bukit Batok/Telok Blangah before the sun was up! 没有白疼你们了. hope you guys had fun gambling & revising for Nutrition paper in my air-con room.

and of cos to my dear Stef for dropping by too. it meant alot oh! hope you liked my gift for you - the bridal bouquet!

and the sweated-for-15 hours photographer, Andy, for recording the special moments for us! i am totally impressed by his professionalism.

thank you everyone for making the day a memorable one for us. =)



next, a little about the wedding shoot. we had indoor shooting for 5 hours, before braving the scorching sun outdoors for another 3 hours. Mr Tan and i are naturally unnatural in front of cameras, so Mr Photographer had a pretty hard time! luckily he's got the experience to pull him through this tough assignment. =)

the album will only be ready in approximately two months.



and after the gruelling experience of preparing for the wedding and going through the wedding day itself, here are some advices for those who will be tying the knot soon! (Stef, my bridal bouquet's with you.)

1) be realistic & practical with your wedding unless you're filthy rich. why end up in debts for a "dream wedding"? look for alternatives that fit your budget, because wedding-related items ARE overpriced. only spend more for stuff that really matter.

2) be prepared to fight with your fiance (hopefully not physically) during the preparation stage, even if you guys never did for the past 10 years. a nonchalent groom is almost always a trigger. luckily for us, we managed to minimise this problem cos Mr Tan took the initiative to involve himself in the preparations, alot more than i did. =/

3) even though it was a simple event and prepared in 3 weeks, i am sure we are not less happy than couples who spent 2 years preparing. probably cos i wasnt expecting much so i was more easily satisfied. though it was just a simple event, you wouldnt believe the number of nitty-gritty details to note, and they are enough to drive you bonkers. so if every single detail is going to matter, you will definitely have a tough time during the preparations and forgot about enjoying the process instead.
