i was surfing around looking for nice places to dine in, be it hotel buffets or the usual restaurants.

and i ended up reading more and even more bad reviews of the eateries, including high-class hotel restaurants that easily costs more than $50/pax.

 the general complaints were bad service and/or not value-for-money.

and i thought Singapore is known for having good food anywhere and everywhere?

i guess it could be the poor staff training which led to poor service; or increasing operations costs that led to using ingredients of poorer quality; or Singaporeans are just being really critical over minute details.

everything cant be that bad, right? there has to be good food somewhere. apart from the usual famous hawker centres.

i think people only bother to post reviews when they have had bad experiences, but do not bother to remember the good points. 

and it is so depressing. my birthday wish this year is simple - munch on good food. =(
