the gynae check-up yesterday evening was a disappointment.

i made it a point to have my dinner 1 hour before appointment time so it wont interfere with the urine test results. but Mother Tan happened to cook some dessert drink and said it's good for me. so i drank 1 cup before dinner, and another after. the drink was pretty sweet, though.

in the end, the urine test results turned out even worse than the previous test. as in, even more glucose was detected this time round.

it was really disheartening as i watched the test strip turn colour right in front of me.

the 1st (and only) thought that went through my mind was, "i knew it, im not going to be a good Mom."

what's worse is, im not even convinced myself anymore that it's simply cos of dinner. what if i really have gestational diabetes?

Mr Gynae frowned when he saw the record and said he had to take a glucose blood test to make sure im fine. then he drew 5ml of my precious blood. i have to return in 1 week's time to review the blood test results.

from the moment the test strip turned colour, my mood simply hit rock-bottom. in fact, i was close to tears last night as i was trying to get to sleep.

sighs.

what's wrong with me...? =(
