in 2 days' time, my Shanice will be turning 1 month old.

i dont know how i got through the crazy 1st month, but i am eff-ing glad my confinement is coming to an end. 

i miss drinking plain water. 

i miss bathing in plain water. 

i miss eating food for homo sapiens. having fish in every meal for 30 days (so i ate 90 fishes already?!) can become a torture regardless of how much i like it.

and every day im learning something new, be it about caring for a newborn or about Shanice. after all no 2 babies have the same behaviour. it is all trial & error and learning from mistakes. 

the other day i decided i was mentally ready to pack my closet and try on the pre-pregnancy clothes to see which ones to keep. and i realise i still can fit into my tops (except the ones with tight bust area) but it was a battle with my bottoms. either i cant even zip it up at all, or i can zip it after using all my might but i cant button it up. sighs. 

i stared at the now-too-mini-for-me pants for a good long time and wondered how on earth i managed to squeeze into them 9 months ago. amazing.

so i conclude that my expanded hip area has not shrunk yet. or maybe it never will.

and Shanice is 4 weeks old today! ♥
