amazingly i decided to blog again after resting for 6 months. since i get to meet quite abit of interesting issues at work, i thought i might as well share them here, if anyone is still visiting.

first up. we have quite a number of new operators in the premises cos the previous ones decided to return to their hometowns in China for good. 


Incident #One: 

one of them is the cleaner designated in the production premises. one day the Factory Manager(FM) asked him to wash the dusty fan blades. he looked confused and said he dont know what a fan is. after much describing by the FM he still did not get it, so the FM showed it to him. then the FM asked how on earth he dont know what a fan is, and he replied that the hometown he came from is very cold and very poor, so there are no fans at all.

the China operators we get are from the labour agency, and the FM had previously requested a bigger-sized one cos the position he would be in needs quite abit of strength. according to the data provided his height is 168cm. the FM and i looked at each other when he finally came to the premises. he was even shorter than me, so that makes him about 160cm. my FM asked why he wrote his height as 168cm when he is obviously about 160cm, and he said his hometown has warm & cool climates so there are expansions & contractions. i dont know to laugh or cry after hearing it.


these 2 incidents left me with the deepest impressions for now. will update when i meet with more. :)
